Lighthouse Yoga Therapy

Why Yoga Therapy?

I serves those who deal with the following: grief, anxiety, trauma/abuse, dysregulated nervous system, PTSD, depression, pain, mood disorders, sleep issues, and ADHD.

The Yogic Philosophy views humans as multi-dimensional beings that are comprised of more than just our gross physical bodies but also mental, breath, emotional, and bliss subtle bodies. Thus, Yoga Therapy brings a whole person approach to treatment.

Yoga Therapy goals are to eliminate, reduce, or manage symptoms that cause suffering; bring balance, increase self-awareness, alchemize pain into power, shift mindsets & negative thinking patterns, awaken the body and help restore a fully embodied connection.

Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate
— Carl Jung

What does a session look like?

Generally, the initial intake can take up to 90 minutes with follow up sessions at 75 minutes over the course of 4-12 weeks (or months) with weekly or bi-weekly sessions. This is contingent upon the client's goals and personalized treatment plans. We can meet in person with a private home visit or virtually. Sessions can include asana practice, meditation, yoga Nidra, somatic & embodiment practices, yogic philosophy & spirituality, sound therapy, suggested reading, mindset development, lifestyle suggestions, pranayama (breathwork), and may include homework. Treatment plans often begin simply and can be revised along the way to meet client’s goals.
